Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum »SEA CHANGES« Exhibition
photo licensing | client: Deutsches SchifffahrtsmuseumA selection of photographs from the Arctic regions of Greenland, Svalbard, and Iceland was featured in a large-scale media installation on the facade of the German Maritime Museum (Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum) in Bremerhaven. This installation was part of the special exhibition "SEA CHANGES – World & Sea in Transition," which explored the profound impacts of climate change on the world's oceans, with a particular focus on polar regions, shipping, and ecosystems.
The Media Installation
The media installation was designed and developed by the curator Helmut Bien and the media artist Kurt Laurent Theinert.
"We want to combine historical exhibits with digital knowledge transfer and make maritime research an experience. A digitized ship model and exclusive photos of the ship, the bridge or from the engine room, laboratories or the famous Blue Salon."
