Boucheron »Or Bleu« High Jewelry Collection

photo production | client: boucheron (via arter)

Boucheron commissioned me to travel to Iceland in February to capture the landscapes that inspired their latest high jewelry collection, »Or Bleu« by Claire Choisne, a tribute to the element of water. The images were unveiled as large-format prints during a vernissage in Paris, and the exhibition has since traveled the world, showcasing this unique fusion of nature and artistry.

The creative challenge as a photographer and visual artist was to visually connect the breathtaking Icelandic scenery with the artistry of the collection—identifying locations that authentically reflected the essence of each individual piece, all while navigating Iceland’s ever-changing and unpredictable weather conditions.

"Working with Jan Erik Waider was an inspiring experience. His ability to translate the essence of our »Or Bleu« collection into breathtaking imagery of Iceland's landscapes was nothing short of extraordinary. Jan's deep local knowledge, along with his commitment to daily updates—even after long, demanding days in the cold—ensured that every detail perfectly captured the spirit of water that defines this collection."
