Left Behind

Svalbard (Spitsbergen) presents a breathtaking landscape that is interspersed by relics of bygone times. Defunct coal mines from decades ago dissolve into ancient rock, abandoned whaling stations form bizarre coastal locations, and Second World War ruins underscore the historical relevance of this place. The multi-layered memories are well-preserved due to the Arctic climate, thus providing us with the experience of the past and the chance to delve deep into Svalbard’s history.
