Dramatic landscape photography by Jan Erik Waider;
capturing the raw stillness of the Nordic countries.
From afar, it almost looks like an airplane crash site. Thick white smoke rises up and blurs your vision. The closer you get, the more you realize it is here, at the foot of Mount Námafjall, that Iceland’s geological history becomes palpable and tangible. The fissures and craters remind one of open wounds while the color scheme seems infinitely various.
