Crinoids β "Like a lily"
Crinoids are marine animals that are part of the class Crinoidea. The name "Crinoidea" originates from the ancient Greek word ΞΊΟΞ―Ξ½ΞΏΞ½ (krΓnon) "a lily", with the suffix "-oid" meaning "like". The crinoids, which in their adult form are attached to the seafloor by a stalk, are commonly called sea lilies.
